San Agustín Bay – Huatulco, Oaxaca
San Agustín Bay is home to two lovely beaches, with soft white sand, moderate waves and a solitary atmosphere, San Agustin is definitely NOT crowded! The reason that San Agustín bay isn’t crowded is that it is about 10 miles down a dirt track road and about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the Cruzacita making access difficult if you don’t have a car or feel comfortable using the ‘colectivos’; also the sum length of the San Agustín’s beaches is over a mile.
San Agustín Bay has several restaurants which have bathroom and shower facilities, many also offer basic accommodation on the beachfront in the form of cabañas; there is also the option to camp. The basic nature of the accommodation available whilst ideal for backpackers might prove complicated if traveling with small children.
