Chacahua Beach is a reasonably remote beach accessible from the small fishing town of Zapotalito an hour’s drive from Puerto Escondido. Chacahua beach is in Chacahua National park which comprises of five lagoons and a turtle and crocodile reserve. Chacahua’s miles of sandy beaches are also revered by surfers.

Puerto Escondido’s Main Beach (Playa Principal)
The Playa Prinicpal is the main beach at Puerto Escondido and is the closest to Puerto Escondido town. There are numerous restaurants, bars, clubs and places to stay. It is also possible to hire a boat for a tour or to take you to other beaches from here. Deep sea fishing trips also leave from here.
