Chacahua Beach – Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca
Chacahua Beach in the idyllic Lagunas de Chacahua Parque Nacional (Chacahua Lagoons National Park) stretches to an enormous 10 miles of unspoiled coastline. Chacahua boasts an impressive collection of flora and fauna. The best way to get to Chacahua beach is to get to Zapotalito and then get a boat through Chacahua’s lagoons.
There is lots to see and do at Chacahua, you can surf, visit the Crocodile sanctuary, see the mangroves, do some bird watching, visit the mangrove tunnels, go snorkelling or SCUBA diving, go hiking or maybe do some fishing. If you prefer of course you can just kick back and relax!
If you are at Chacahua at the right time of year you might also be able to participate in the Sea Turtle Program.
